Shin Poong 1.19%p↑… Il-Yang Pharmaceutical to a single-digit
[Newsmp] In August, foreign ownership of listed pharmaceutical companies showed a downward trend.
According to the Korea Exchange, foreign ownership of 32 out of 46 stocks declined during this period.
The range was not significant. Shin Poong Pharmaceutical was the only company whose foreign ownership has changed by more than 1%p in a month.
Shing Poong Pharmaceutical’s foreign ownership rose 1.19%p from 4.99% at the end of July to 6.10% at the end of August, expanding to the 6% level.
Following Shin Poong Pharmaceutical, Pharmicell rose 0.44%p, Il Dong Holdings and Hanmi Pharmaceutical 0.32%p, Yuhan Corporation 0.30%p, Daewoong Pharmaceutical 0.22%p, and Daewon Pharmaceutical 0.20%p.
Celltrion, Dongsung Pharmaceutical, Hyundai Pharmaceutical, Kyongbo Pharmaceutical, JW Life Science, and Korea United Pharm. also increased slightly, but the range was only within 0.1%p.
On the other hand, during the same period, Il-Yang Pharmaceutical’s foreign ownership fell by 0.51%p, the only one to be reduced by more than 0.5%p.
JW Pharmaceutical retreated 0.47%p, Green Cross 0.41%p, Il Dong Pharmaceutical 0.35%p, Yuyu Pharma and HanAll Biopharma 0.32%p, Aprogen Pharmaceuticals and Ilsung Pharmaceutical 0.29%p, Samjin Pharmaceutical 0.28%p, Samsung Pharmaceutical 0.24%p, Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical 0.23%p, and PharmGen Science 0.21%p.
In addition, Dong Wha Pharm and Boryung Pharmaceutical dived 0.18%p, CKD Bio 0.16%p, Kwang Dong Pharmaceutical 0.15%p, ORIENTBIO and Dong-A ST 0.13%p, and Daewoong and Handok 0.10%p.
Foreign ownership of Kukje Pharma, Bukwang Pharmaceutical, SK Bioscience, Yungjin Pharm., Jeil Pharmaceutical, Chong Kun Dang Holdings, Hana Pharm, Gene One Life Science, Samsung Biologics, Myungmoon Pharmaceutical, and Reyon Pharmaceutical also edged down.
Meanwhile, Green Cross had the largest foreign ownership of 22.45%, followed by Celltrion with 20.83%, and Dong-A ST with 20.00%.
Yuhan Corporation remained in double digits with 19.42%, Kwang Dong Pharmaceutical with 18.79%, Daewon Pharmaceutical with 18.46%, Hanmi Pharmaceutical with 14.50%, Whanin Pharmaceutical with 14.33%, Gene One Life Science with 13.71%, and Samsung Biologics with 10.68%, while Il-Yang Pharmaceutical fell to single-digits to 9.68%.
