[Newsmp] The upper limit of health insurance benefits for Acelex (CrystalGenomics) and Faslodex (AstraZeneca) will be reduced by 30%.
Sama Roflu (Sam-A Pharm.) and Daxas (AstraZeneca), which were expected to be lowered, will maintain their existing upper limits.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare amended and announced on the 25th the ‘Pharmaceutical benefit list and the table of the upper limit of benefits.’ (Ministry of Health and Welfare Notification 2022-240)
According to the notice, the price cap for hepatitis C treatments Epclusa and Vosevi (Gilead), which are in the process of collecting opinions on the new price standard, was set at KRW 117,030 and KRW 128,836.
Epclusa and Vosevi will be paid from the 1st of next month (November.)
Moreover, on the 1st of next month, the upper limit of Acelex Cap. 2mg, Acelex Tab. 2mg, and Faslodex Inj. will be reduced by 30%.
Godex Cap. (Celltrion Pharm) will be lowered by 12.4%, Azabio Tab. 50mg (Pharmbio Korea) by 10.0%, Famsure Tab. 750mg (JW Shinyak) by 94.4%, and Valtris Tab. 500mg (JW Shinyak) by 7.6%.
Stelara Prefilled inj. 45mg and Stelara S.C. Inj 45mg (Janssen Korea) planned to cut by 4.4%, and Stelara Prefilled inj. 90mg by 0.2%.
In addition, Xtandi Soft Cap. 40mg (Astellas Pharma Korea) will be reduced by 3.0%, Eutropin Pen Inj. (36IU/1.69mL), Eutropin Plus Inj. 24mg, and Eutropin Injection (1.33mg) (LG Chem) by 2.9%.
Faslodex will be adjusted by an additional 23.5% on Aug. 1 of next year (2023), and Acelex Cap. 2mg and Acelex Tab. 2mg on Oct. 1, 2023.
In the meantime, Sama Roflu Tab. and Daxas Tab. 500μg, which were expected to be lowered on the 1st of next month, will maintain their upper limits and designed to reduce by 10.0% and 23.5% respectively on Nov. 1, 2024.
