In January, 21 cases were added to the patent list of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).
According to the MFDS’ information platform (https://nedrug.mfds.go.kr/), 10 drugs from nine pharmaceutical companies obtained patents in the MFDS patent list in January.
Bayer listed six cases, Novartis four cases, Celltrion, ICure, Eisai, and PharmaEssentia Korea two cases, and Chong Kun Dang, Taejoon Pharmaceutical, and Hanmi one case.
Among them, Bayer filed a total of six patents, two each with three Verquvo tablets, while Novartis posted three with Kymriah and one with Kisqali.
Donepezil products, Donerion Patch and Donhesive Patch were listed under Celltrion and ICure.
In addition, Eisai recorded Equfina Film Coated Tab., and PharmaEssentia Korea Besremi Inj., two each.
Chong Kun Dang patented in Selebeta SR Tab., Taejoon Pharmaceutical in Xalost-S Eye Drops, and Hanmi in Glyterol Inhalation Cap..
