Hanmi Pharma • Chong Kun Dang Pharma recorded $1 billion contributions in a half year
Listed pharmaceutical companies contributed $12.9 billion, YoY 16.3% ↑
Although the listed pharmaceutical companies’ earnings slowed due to COVID-19, their contribution enlarged.
Newsmp analyzed the semi-annual report of 50 companies in the stock market in November and December and found out that they contributed $12.9 billion in the first half, YoY 16.3%↑, up $1.8 billion.
In particular, Dongkook Pharma and Daewon Pharma donated $1.4 billion in the 2nd quarter along with Korea United Pharma $1 billion.
By company, Dongkook Pharma’s contribution was the highest $1.6 billion, followed by Daewon Pharma $1.5 billion.
Hanmi Pharma donated $1.4 billion, Chong Kun Dang Pharma $1.1 billion, and Korea United Pharma about $1 billion.
Kyungdong Pharma’s contribution was close to $1 billion, Green Cross Corp. and Handok Pharma around $800 million, and Yuhan Corp. $700 million.
Kwangdong Pharma contributed more than $500 million, Ildong Pharma about $500 million, Ahn-gook Pharma $300 million, Huons $200 million, and Samjin Pharma and JW-lifescience Corp. $100 million.
CMG Pharma and Dongsung Pharma exceeded $90 million, Hana Pharma, Dong-wha Pharma, and JW-Pharma $80 million.
Boryung Pharma and CKD Bio Corp. contributed $60 million, Samsung Pharma, BC World Pharma, and DongKoo Bio & Pharma $50 million.
Daewon Pharma’s contribution increased the most to nearly $1.2 billion YoY, and Dongkkok Pharma expanded more than $700 million.
Handok Pharma raised $400 million, Yuhan Corp. and Ahn-gook Pharma $300 million, and Chong Kun Dang and Huons $170 million.
Green Cross Corp. expanded contribution more than $100 million, CMG Pharma, CKD Bio Corp., and JW-lifescience Corp. $60 million.
